Role Overview:
As a Data Warehouse Engineer with expertise in Snowflake and SQL, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining of data solutions within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be architecting, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake data warehouse solutions while leveraging SQL for data manipulation and analysis. This role requires a deep understanding of Snowflake's architecture, best practices, and performance optimization techniques, coupled with a strong command of SQL querying and scripting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture and Design: Architect scalable and efficient Snowflake data models and ETL processes to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and data integrity.
- Implementation: Hands-on development of Snowflake queries, procedures, and workflows to implement data pipelines, transformations, and integrations.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance-tuning strategies to enhance the efficiency and speed of Snowflake queries and data processing tasks.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and accuracy of data pipelines and analytical outputs through rigorous automated testing and validation procedures.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions that address their needs.
- Documentation and Training: Document technical designs, processes, and best practices, and provide training and guidance to team members on Snowflake and SQL technologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Snowflake to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience working as a data engineer or similar role, with a focus on Snowflake and SQL. ? Expertise in Snowflake data warehouse architecture, configuration, and administration.
- Proficiency in SQL including complex querying, optimization, and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data modelling, and schema design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
