Hired a van in Australia. We ended up covered in bed bug bites! Filthy stained mattress. Terrible customer service. They are just interested in getting your money

We had a dream trip RUINED by these budget horror houses on wheels. First the car broke down, and took 2 days for a replacement. The 'new' van leaked both RAIN and EXHAUST and the whole trip we had to drive with a window down. Then on return after our complaints they decided, after receiving the car in just fine, 2 days later to claim there were issues and they held our bond!! They refused to offer proof of the 'damage'. We had to threaten to get the NSW fair trade people involved. Avoid them like the plague!! You might sav... read more

Hired a Wicked Camper in Tasmania with a friend (we are both from Western Australia). We hired the cheapest 3-seater van and everything was as expected for a van of that price. Service was good at the depot and had no problems picking up or returning the van. As we left Tasmania I had a very positive view of Wicked, the whole experience was very smooth and we had a great time in the van. However, upon returning to Perth and waiting the 14 working days from the return of the van for the bond (AU$500) to be refunded (as state... read more

This company has been an absolute nightmare. We rented one of their vans for a weekend trip to Northern Ireland. The first shock was that we had to discover when opening the tent for the first time, that it was covered in mold. The mattress, the tent walls, the whole thing was covered. This could only have resulted from poor/no maintenance and Wicked Campers not opening the tents after the van is returned. But it got worse. We decided to suck it up, cover the affected areas and continue our trip (as we had driven such a lo... read more

We (easy going crew of three guys) booked a camper for a road trip. The van we got was in very bad shape: The roof tent was absolutely disgusting, moldy and full of stains, tires weren't aired properly and after we finished our trip, we discovered BED BUG BITES on our bodies. The only thing worse than our experience with the van was the interaction with Wicked Campers. They refused to give us a refund (only offered 100€ and wanted us to sign an NDA), only answered after a week and claimed we got the bed bugs from hostel or h... read more

Hired a 4x4 from Perth to drop off in Broome 2 weeks later. Key things we experienced: 1. Took over an hour to get the car. We paid for the car in full about 6 months in advance of travelling because this route is popular (and expensive) at this time of year. We were not charged for an additional driver which apparently incurs an additional $95. The lady behind the desk having failed to get us to pay it spent 45 minutes trying to get through to her manager to find out if she could waive it. Considering $95 amounted to about... read more

Why anyone would want to drive a vehicle with offensive filth written on the back for all the world to see is perplexing. What is baffling, is why anyone would pay to do so. These vehicles are driven in public spaces where children can read the sexually degrading R rated "humour" written in clear big type on the rear. Adults shouldn't have to read this stuff let alone kids. Terrible. Where are the regulators???

Had a great experince with wicked in both Melbourne and New Zealand with nice and helpful staff, but wow the service in Hobart was the worst. Rude staff that you could tell hated his job, the heater/cooker didn't work so we couldn't cook any food like we planned on doing, didn't receive the table and chairs that we paid for and the side lights didn't work. Received the car in terrible condition, the tent was full of sand and dirt and the outside was dirty when we got it - then we had to pay to get it cleaned. We understand i... read more

Ok i tried to book a 4x4 camper with wicked. It was going to cost over $4300 for 2 weeks. In the first conversation i was told we could go anywhere in the 4x4. Then i checked and gues what we couldnt. So i contacted them again and was told yes they have restricted but for an extra $750 that would be waved if i booked and paid straight away. Well i didnt and lucky i didnt. Because i rang again today and guess what the $750 i would of paided didnt cover prohibited areas. But they would let me take a cheaper 4x4 there if i paid... read more
