Travellers be aware. Wicked campers took my $5000 bond (for a van barely worth $500), now a month later I am still trying to get it back and I'm completely out of money. With no one to physically help me with my issue, it has been 'refered' onto admin multiple times. Would not use again!!

Absolutely ridiculous. We didn’t get the premium that we had paid for and instead of a much older van that they sold to us as “more comfortable and spacious.” We couldn’t get a refund for the downgrade because apparently the van we got was the same price. We had to jump start the battery twice before it died on us on a public holiday. It didn’t help that we were in the middle of nowhere in Western Australia, so we travelled 200km out of our way to replace the battery which we paid for and cost us $75 in extra km. It’s now be... read more

I had the misfortune to book what seemed a reasonably priced camper and transport in one. Biggest mistake I've ever made. On arrival to pick up said camper I had already paid everything, or so I thought. The attendant (a foreigner on a work visa, minimal english and really didnt care) said there was a further $380 insurance premium to pay for 5 days travel, (which in the fine print covered you for nothing as it happened, even hitting a kangaroo wasn't covered). To ad insult to injury one look at the vehicle and I couldn't be... read more

Happily I have never and never will hire a wicked camper. I have just spent a couple of hours trying to get help for a couple of European tourists whose camper had broken down. The area they were in is isolated and the vehicle they were in should not be registered for road use. Old (extremely old) rusty with all rust covered with witty sayings and painted over with a pressure pack can. The fact these vehicles are registered for road use is astounding. The vehicle was running but badly (very badly), the help line guy did his ... read more

Wicked campers has the worst staff ever! The lady in the Perth office is one of the most unfriendly people I have ever met, not even speaking of any qualifications with handling customers. We rented the van with camping equipment. Since nobody showed us the car or the equipment we only found out on the first night that we didn't have pots or pans. We called Wicked and were told to buy new stuff and that we would get the money back. Guess what? No response by [name removed] yet. Rude and unacceptable behaviour. Never again!

For a company that has ‘don’t be a crap’ stickers every 30cm in their office they’re really not great at not being craps. Waited at least 10 minutes whilst another group was served without even as much as an acknowledging glance from the woman serving. Another 10 minutes after she showed them to their car she came back. No hello, just ‘got a booking?’ We were shown to the car, left with the keys and that was it. Not shown how to set up the bed, the table, we weren’t shown where the extras we hired were, how to use the sink, ... read more

Four of us hired a wicked camper over the New Years period in Tasmania for 7 days costing $1800. The main reason for hiring this camper over a car and staying in accomodation was the fact it was advertised with a showering facility and fridge. The fridge had blown a fuse prior to us picking up the vehicle and was therefore not charging. We did not identify this until after we left however, we returned to the depot and the staff were amazing. All were really friendly and replaced the fuse promptly, even giving us a spare. We ... read more

I have been using Wicked Campers for many years all throughout Europe. I have loved using the company for the way they design the interior of the vans and paint the exterior. I've also had many friends work for the company so know about the operations and how they are meant to handle customers and the vehicles. My experience with hiring a van in Hobart, Tasmania was utterly appalling. To begin, the company has lost their personal touch in customer service experience. I tried to call the depot direct as we were flying from Me... read more

I‘m totally unhappy with this company. We had this o return our car at 4pm but they told us it’s totally fine to call in if we might not be able to be this early and return it later. We called in because the traffic was really busy and the manager told us we had to pay 100$ if we won’t be there by 4pm. In the end we were 4 minutes to late and the door was closed. As we called the manager to handle the situation, she just hang off. Really unfriendly! Although our car looked nice it wasn’t worth it!
