They take your money before you get the car so you really have no idea how bad things are until its too late. Vehicle seriously NOT roadworthy. 1cm deep "mattresses", dishes all dirty, curtain (only ONE) broken and torn, water pump didn't work and if you poured water down the sink, it poured back into the car. Car couldn't go over 80km. Broke down on us on 31/12 and couldn't get roadside assist until 2/1 due to "public holiday". Do yourself a favour and do not use this company. The vans are absolutely putrid and they run a scam after returning where they try to not give you bond back! Its amazing they're allowed to operate in Australia.
rude, car was not road worth, rolled backwards down the hills - nearly causing an accident due to 300kg tent on top too heavy for the car (which was not road worthy) had to return the car and ruined the trip of 3 people + 2k gone no alternative was offered, staff didn't want to disclose their names and pointed to HQ
Hired a van in Australia. We ended up covered in bed bug bites! Filthy stained mattress. Terrible customer service. They are just interested in getting your money
We had a dream trip RUINED by these budget horror houses on wheels. First the car broke down, and took 2 days for a replacement. The 'new' van leaked both RAIN and EXHAUST and the whole trip we had to drive with a window down. Then on return after our complaints they decided, after receiving the car in just fine, 2 days later to claim there were issues and they held our bond!! They refused to offer proof of the 'damage'. Hired a Wicked Camper in Tasmania with a friend (we are both from Western Australia). We hired the cheapest 3-seater van and everything was as expected for a van of that price. Service was good at the depot and had no problems picking up or returning the van. This company has been an absolute nightmare. We rented one of their vans for a weekend trip to Northern Ireland. The first shock was that we had to discover when opening the tent for the first time, that it was covered in mold. The mattress, the tent walls, the whole thing was covered. This could only have resulted from poor/no maintenance and Wicked Campers not opening the tents after the van is returned. But it got worse. We (easy going crew of three guys) booked a camper for a road trip. The van we got was in very bad shape: The roof tent was absolutely disgusting, moldy and full of stains, tires weren't aired properly and after we finished our trip, we discovered BED BUG BITES on our bodies. Hired a 4x4 from Perth to drop off in Broome 2 weeks later. Key things we experienced: 1. Took over an hour to get the car. We paid for the car in full about 6 months in advance of travelling because this route is popular (and expensive) at this time of year. We were not charged for an additional driver which apparently incurs an additional $95.
