Rented in November. Still awaiting my refund in January. Particularly stressful for backpackers who are reliant upon what funds they have. Disgraceful, will not be recommending nor using WickedCampers again.
I have rented many Camper Vans and this is by far the worst company that I have ever worked with. The staff was quite friendly but everything else terrible. This is a company that only cares about the bottom line and will skimp every chance they get while selling you a product that is way over priced for what it is. I recently rented a camper van for $100 USD per day that was realistically worth about $50 per day. I could have bought the same vehicle that I rented for the price that I paid during a 25 day hire. Received my over priced van with dirty dishes in it after it was held up for over 5 hours. Worst company to ever deal with steer clear from renting from these guys at all costs
The worst company you can ever get. The vans are disgusting (bugs) and unsafe (no windshield, leaks). So unless you are 14 years old and you enjoy seeing manhoods on the roof when you wake up, just do yourself a favor and try another company. Worst experience in my life. I honestly didn't know people would be allowed to be that bad.
Don‘t ever hire a car with this thieves!!! It began when they only gave us 4 chairs, unless we were 5 people. Additionally the kitchen was very poor equipped, we had to spend 100$ just to buy kitchenstuff and a chair. The tents weren't clean and it smelled like somebody put a dead kangaroo inside. Car was running good, can‘t say that the car (4WD Nissan Navara) was bad. There's enough reviews on this website to inform readers about the issues regarding WickedCampers. So really I'm just venting. I needed a camper at Airlie Beach.When I booked online there was a promotion. Over 50..and I am..and you'll get an additional day free. There was a small catch here..you have to add insurance B. This was more expensive than the van!! God knows how, its an old piece of junk. So I booked but there was no allowance for that on the forms. So I tried the chat help. Travellers be aware. Wicked campers took my $5000 bond (for a van barely worth $500), now a month later I am still trying to get it back and I'm completely out of money. With no one to physically help me with my issue, it has been 'refered' onto admin multiple times. Would not use again!!
Absolutely ridiculous. We didn’t get the premium that we had paid for and instead of a much older van that they sold to us as “more comfortable and spacious.” We couldn’t get a refund for the downgrade because apparently the van we got was the same price. We had to jump start the battery twice before it died on us on a public holiday. It didn’t help that we were in the middle of nowhere in Western Australia, so we travelled 200km out of our way to replace the battery which we paid for and cost us $75 in extra km. I had the misfortune to book what seemed a reasonably priced camper and transport in one. Biggest mistake I've ever made. On arrival to pick up said camper I had already paid everything, or so I thought. The attendant (a foreigner on a work visa, minimal english and really didnt care) said there was a further $380 insurance premium to pay for 5 days travel, (which in the fine print covered you for nothing as it happened, even hitting a kangaroo wasn't covered).
