My partner and I hired a van for ten days through Tasmania; we had no issues with the initial booking and pick up (bar being given a broken camping chair). However we have been hounding the company for a deposit since the vehicles return. We’ve finally made some traction but are currently waiting to see proof if refund. Customer service almost non existent. Charged me full booking amount twice after I added extras chairs and table. (Refunded a week later)Van under maintained- stalling at idle, battery terminal loose. Bond refund-wicked for some reason hold your bond for a month before returning it. Overall experience was below average. I doubted the previous reviews. That was a mistake. This is the email I sent them and they never responded!! I have never been more disappointed in a service. Your Adelaide based campervan yard was disgraceful. We arrived well before our pick up time to ensure we were there on time to pick up our camper to only be greeted by your un-knowledgeable employee representing your ‘company’. Please do never use this scammers, they take your money and never provide you upfront the policy of the company. We have cancelled a week before, went in person to the office. Informed they will reimburse in 3 days, after a month and an e-mail, without a reply to it, I was informed there will be no return money whatsoever it is in their policy... the same one I have never received. I hired a Truck Last February 17, 2021.I made the transaction over the phone with John.I asked me to deposit a Bond for $250.I was told it will take 6 weeks.It has now been 9 weeks.I emailed them,did not get a response.I rang them,they said that they cannot see my records.
An exert from my email to the Customercare (for which I've had no response from): 'Half way through our trip, the side sliding door which was very rusty and difficult to close to begin with, lost a guidewheel and completely slid off the rails. We tried to fix it but as we were on a highway in the middle of nowhere without reception the best we could do was jam the door closed and hope it didn't fly open as we drove into town. One star is generous as Wicked have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help me with an insurance claim. It's been 9 weeks so far and the team is completely ignoring any communication attempts. I didn't choose to have anything to do with this business and their awful reputation, however I had the misfortune of one of their hire vans backing into my parked car, which was completely the driver's fault. Complete scammers! Trust all the bad reviews!! Cheap shouldn't mean dodgy! Awful communication, basically non-existent customer service, left us stranded in the middle of Australia, kept our bond & cost us hundreds of dollars in extra accommodation & transportation!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!
Worst service - we did not receive the vehicle we had booked, my son 6'4 didn't even fit in the vehicle. We then had to return the vehicle because of covid and was promised a refund but have since been told we will get a $300 credit. Do not use!! Do not use!! Do not use!! Do not use!! Do not use!!
