Most horrific experience ever ! Made 2 bookings for 2 different time at the London Location. Received a confirmation email mentioning a different location. Been overcharged for the daily rate so I called the customer's service which explained that the website was not updated and the location had been changed. Worst experience, didn't get what I paid for and never got the 500$ caution back for no reason... Wicked camper should be taken to court and forced to pay back their customers!!!!
Long story short - the vehicle was crap, the customer service was even worse. The door stopped working, so they kept our bond to cover the repair (their mechanic told us it's a minor thing that wouldn't cost more than 50-100 bycks). After 9 months, dozens of emails and phone calls they simply informed us that they are keeping the whole sum ($1000+), without any further explanation. Later on we've met a guy who used to work for them, and he told us that they regularly exploit foreign tourist like this.
My partner and I hired a van for ten days through Tasmania; we had no issues with the initial booking and pick up (bar being given a broken camping chair). However we have been hounding the company for a deposit since the vehicles return. We’ve finally made some traction but are currently waiting to see proof if refund. Customer service almost non existent. Charged me full booking amount twice after I added extras chairs and table. (Refunded a week later)Van under maintained- stalling at idle, battery terminal loose. Bond refund-wicked for some reason hold your bond for a month before returning it. Overall experience was below average. I doubted the previous reviews. That was a mistake. This is the email I sent them and they never responded!! I have never been more disappointed in a service. Your Adelaide based campervan yard was disgraceful. We arrived well before our pick up time to ensure we were there on time to pick up our camper to only be greeted by your un-knowledgeable employee representing your ‘company’. Please do never use this scammers, they take your money and never provide you upfront the policy of the company. We have cancelled a week before, went in person to the office. Informed they will reimburse in 3 days, after a month and an e-mail, without a reply to it, I was informed there will be no return money whatsoever it is in their policy... the same one I have never received. I hired a Truck Last February 17, 2021.I made the transaction over the phone with John.I asked me to deposit a Bond for $250.I was told it will take 6 weeks.It has now been 9 weeks.I emailed them,did not get a response.I rang them,they said that they cannot see my records.
An exert from my email to the Customercare (for which I've had no response from): 'Half way through our trip, the side sliding door which was very rusty and difficult to close to begin with, lost a guidewheel and completely slid off the rails. We tried to fix it but as we were on a highway in the middle of nowhere without reception the best we could do was jam the door closed and hope it didn't fly open as we drove into town.
