BY FAR THE WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. From the moment I picked up the car, I was given nothing but a bad product, and even worse customer service. To start, they only have one employee in the middle of a parking lot, so I had to wait 2 hours before I could even get my car. Second, the car itself was barely road worthy. As above, had to chase Wicked Camper for weeks after my holiday and eventually found out from [name removed] in head office that they had refunded the money to someone else's card that wasn't even part of my group! On enquiring what the name was on the card that it was refunded to she stopped replying. Completely unprofessional. I'm known in the camping and outdoors community and often make recommendations to travellers, will actively discourage people from using Wicked Campers
The mattresses that were provided in the car were thinner than what children sleep on in childcare centres, the windscreen wipers were absolutely hazardous as they did nothing but smudge the water everywhere nearly causing us to be in an accident in the rain as we couldn’t see. The staff were just lazy and gave off an “I don’t give a damn” attitude. Hardly explained anything about the car. Found out the linen was not supplied even after paying $1129 for 7 days in a Barina! Don't waste your money. Booked 2 months in advance. I had a two week booking and when I arrived in the country the day before picking up the camper they cancelled my booking without reason. See screenshot of cancellation email on my google review.
NEVER rent from Wicked! Apart from receiving a car that was advertised to be suitable for an outback 4WD trip, but in reality it was a low clearance something. When it broke down on the way, we have been offered a car of replacement available 400km away from the place we were stuck. In Australia sorry guys but there are no regular buses, no hitchhiking to get there. Worst experience ever in my life, would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, absolutely no way to contact them about complaints, only by email, which they never reply too. Very sketchy people operating the business and would not trust them as far as i could throw them. Look elsewhere for rentals.. They will rip you off!!!
I can honestly say this was the worst service ever and the worst experience too. The vehicle was disgustingly dirty. The electrics were broken and the doors were faulty too and therefore didn't lock leaving all our belongings at risk of theft. The company didn't want to address the issue and the complaints process has been extremely stressful. The 'manager' [name removed], never responds. I have had the worst ever experience ever with them and I am angry writing this and still I'm shaking. So I booked a camper 2 weeks ago online for a total of 6 days and double checked aswell by calling up the head office and they said that it was fine and they had the car available for those dates. Wicked Campers issued us a van that was not roadworthy. Our van literally fell apart as we were driving along a 100km highway - and what makes it even worse, the part of the van that fell out was literally labelled faulty so they knew it was dodgy when they put it in the van! After we nearly crashed, we then had to organize: emergency assistance, mechanic repair, AND alternative accommodation.
