I gave 1 star, only because it didn't broke down and take us to our destination. The van was very old and tape all together(very bad), it was hard to drive because the wheels were not centered so the van was moving on the left by himself and when I told them, all I get was "we have new and old van in our fleet and this is what you paid for" (also wrong because the picture was different and "the picture is visual" that they told me wasn't written anywhere). I wanted to post a nice video on YouTube but it was to messed up that... read more

The feel good van battery went flat overnight - every night despite unplugging everything and running zero accessories- on one occasion it was so flat we couldn’t even open the doors… clearly this vehicle is not suitable for rental without remedy

The Melbourne depot was a little out of the way for us and could benefit from being closer to the airport. That said, the after-hours pickup process was straightforward and easy, which we really appreciated. The vehicle itself was well set up for our trip and had plenty of space for two females who tend to overpack. We slept comfortably and especially liked the fan above the bed, which made a big difference. Unfortunately, we experienced a tyre blowout the day before returning the vehicle while driving on a busy highway. Thi... read more

Business response:

Thanks for leaving such detailed feedback, Emily! We’re glad the van had plenty of space, the fan kept you cool, and that after-hours pick-up was easy. Tyre blowouts can happen any time on the road, so we’re glad you had the extra damage cover — you’ll be reimbursed for the tyre, which is one less headache on the road. Please send us the receipt to admin@wickedcampers.com if you havent done already so we can reimburse you. We’re also double-checking that all our vans have the necessary tools and safety gear, so no one else e... read more

The van I received was unsafe, poorly maintained, and falsely advertised. It had a known transmission fault that caused it to overheat repeatedly, forcing me to pull over several times. Roadside assistance told me to “safe to proceed - just drive under 100km/h” — on a 130km/h highway - this is totally unacceptable and unsafe. The replacement van required fixing in a remote location. Several listed features were missing or broken, including a reversing camera that didn’t work. The depot handover was rushed and incomplete, res... read more

Hey there, thanks for sharing your feedback! We understand your bond refund took a little longer than the 7–30 day timeframe outlined in our T&Cs, and we’re glad to see it’s now been finalised. Mechanical issues can sometimes happen on the road, but our roadside crew always works to get travellers moving safely. Your comments have been passed on to our team for review — feedback like this helps us keep improving the Wicked way. — The Wicked Campers Crew

To anybody thinking of hiring Wicked Campers be very careful be very aware. My hire in one word DIABOLICAL & very stressful . PROBLEM No.1: Relocation hire was confusing Hobart to Melbourne stated camper free (prebooked ) on Bass Strait ferry, only pay for the drivers fare, wrong all relocations out of Hobart stated same in reality I had to find a booking for the vehicle & myself & pay everything. PROBLEM No.2: Bond & booking fees $1100 for hire, their policy statement says bonds refunds take 30 days after drop off maybe ear... read more

We hired a camper in July and the experience has been awful from start to finish. The vehicle was handed over with no proper briefing and had multiple issues: broken tent zips, faulty power points, jammed drawers, unsafe equipment, and even diesel stored in the water jerry can. At drop-off in Perth, staff admitted the Broome depot vehicles “aren’t looked after,” confirmed there was no damage, and assured us our deposit would be refunded within 30 days. It’s now well over that, and despite repeated follow-ups, Wicked Campers ... read more

Avoid at all costs. They might be cheaper but the service you receive isn't worth it. I picked up the van i rented, which was half full of fuel (I returned it full so that I did not get any extra charges). I was driving around Tasmania and quickly found that the heater did not work which was great for -3 degrees weather. Fast forward over a month since I returned the van I have not received my $500 deposit back even though I have called multiple times I still get the "I'll escalate it for you, it will only be a couple of day... read more

Perth to Sydney relocation for 9 days. Front left wheel fell off the car three days after I picked it up in Perth. The studs were completely shorn off. During the incident, I incurred an injury to some of my ribs. The roadside assistance got the vehicle towed and took nearly two days to get me a replacement car. Head office didn't call me to see if I was okay after the incident. I had to put in multiple calls to get through over a few days. None of their representatives seemed concerned that I was involved in an accident due... read more

Van was a crapbox but fun all part of the adventure. The crap thing was is that they rented us the van with un roadworthy tires. One blew out, then we changed it looked at the others and they all have wires poking out of them. Called their roadside assistant and their response was to google my nearest tire shop pay for new tires out of my pocket and send them a receipt. Now have to wait 2 days for new tires in a van that shouldn't have been rented because its un roadworthy.

Business response:
