We booked a 4x4 for 2 weeks in December and when we enquired about the car in July (6months before!!) They said we needed to hurry since they only have one car left. Without too much time to think we booked it and then there was all those fees you have to pay for going to certain areas. We said we would like to visit Kimberleys and that was 500$ fee which we payed. No one at wicked bothered to tell us that on December it is the rainy season and almost all the parks, attractions and even roads are closed in Kimberleys. Sure w... read more

We wanted to rent a 4WD to go on the Merennie Loop and Palm Valley in the Red Center. The usual car rental company don't let you drive off road, not even on a good gravel road. Wicked Campers was the only option. It came down to $200/day for 7 days including no excess insurance and all fees. The 4WD was well equipped with everything necessary for camping and it had a roof tent, which is very handy when you change location every day, much easier than pitching your tent. We drove off Alice Springs to Ehllery Creek Big Hole to ... read more

Hi I was looking forward to relocate a sedan from Airlie to Brisbane. I had 3,days to do so, after picking up at the, travel shag I Airlie I spend the day, clean the car ,all lights on dashboard was on ,low on motor oil no braks fluid and and emty tank .it turns out the starff uses the, cars as ther staff cars so doint give a bugger. Anyhow y trip went well no further problems oh the so called sedan, turned out to be an 15 year old,Suzuki Jimmy pice of S!!! . Best Regards Tom

Business response:

Hey Tom, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We apologise that the vehicle had those issues on pick-up, for our relocations we provide whatever vehicle we need moved, sometimes changes can happen due to us no longer being able to move a vehicle we has advertised. This is why the change can happen. Thank you for completing the trip and we are glad you didn't have further issues, but we completely understand why if the vehicle had those issues it would have affected your experience so.

To begin with, they kept us waiting an hour to pick up the van without anyone telling us anything, only to finally give us a completely different van from the one we had booked. That van turned out to be defective and broke down after just four hours. The company’s management was terrible. They were basically going to leave us stranded in the middle of the road overnight. After a lot of insisting, they finally sent a tow truck to take us to the nearest Bunnings to buy a drill. You’re probably wondering why — just like we did... read more

Business response:

Hi Irazola, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Whilst it is an unconventional fix, it was deemed the best of the options Roadside could have advised. If you were to be towed back to Sydney for repairs, it would have taken a lot longer to sort out as we had no other vehicles available (hence why you were given a different vehicle to what you booked). Roadside would not advise a customer to do something that causes any risk, and upon following instructions you were able to complete your trip, traveling from Port ... read more

I was extremely disappointed. The van had a keyless fob but the ignition was faulty, i got stuck a couple of times for hours, unable to start the van, it was incredibly stressful and the "roadside assist" was a guy in the Gold Coast who was not helpful. I wouldn't recommend using Wicked.

Business response:

Hi Andrea, thank you for taking the time to leave an honest review. We are very surprised to here that this has happened, so we apologise that these issues occurred. This is not typical of us and we would never aim to provide this kind of service. Thank you for your honesty.

Got the wrong car, way older with the worst fuel economy. (Also, they missed to tell me that they hold the bond of 1000$ for 30 days even after I dropped the car off.) Will never do it with Wicked again AND definitely tell my friends and people in the hostel about it when asked. With every other company I got the bond 1-2 days after the drop off back and GOT THE RIGHT CAR. The Bumper Sticker is a Joke? Please feel free to give me support about my case, I have the right to get some fuel money back,…

Business response:

Hi Marvin, as per the terms of our relocation deal you pay $1 per day with a $1000 bond that gets returned to you if the vehicle is given back in good condition. You were given a vehicle that has the exact same facilities as every other vehicle of the category, making it very much worth the price of $1 per day for a vehicle that you can sleep and cook in, even if it is a slightly different model.

I’m giving a 2/5 rating because I was very disappointed with the service. We had booked a 6-night trip from Sydney to Brisbane. When we arrived in Sydney to pick up our Scooby Doo van, they couldn’t find our reservation. They took us to the van area and tried to give us a different vehicle (a 2-seater, even though we were 3 people). After 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting, they finally gave us the van we had originally booked. Once on the road, we realized there was no air conditioning in the vehicle. So we opened the windows... read more

Business response:

Hi Laura. We’re really sorry for the rough start with your Sydney pick-up. The delay in locating your reservation was due to a rare technical issue on our end, and we completely understand how frustrating that must have been. We also apologise for the lack of air-conditioning and the broken window motor — definitely not the comfort we aim for. Just to clarify, our vans don’t come with extra items like bed linen or pillows and we don’t advertise curtains — everything in the van is kept simple; including only providing cups in... read more
