Hello, I hired a Wicked campervan in Cairns July 2023. This is about the 4th time I have hired these vans for a week - very convenient. I flew into Cairns late on Saturday and the van was waiting for me on the street with a code to access the keys. They gave me the wrong type - a double decker one and I could not for the life of me climb up into the sleeping quarters - these double decker vans are more expensive so probably thought they were doing me a favour lol but I am a 60 woman - so I booked a hotel for 2 nights until t... read more

We had a great experience in our wicked camper van on our trip from Perth to Esperance and back. The van was cozy and perfect for us two. Had no issues with the van, or the kitchen, or table and chairs that we rented from Wicked.

Hired a moving truck from wicked campers Manager was very easy to deal with prices were much much cheaper then all of the competition. I had no issues with picking up and dropping off truck. Returned the truck on Friday afternoon, on Monday I realised the bond had not been refunded and after reading several reviews which stated bonds had not been refunded over prolonged periods of time and how the company scams people out of their bonds I started freaking out and thinking the worst that I had fallen victim to this scam. Wicked Campers has really improved! I've hired from these guys before and will do again. Staff were polite, vehicle was clean and no issues on the road. If you have the budget, I recommend looking into their 4wd options! The nissan navara we had was late model and looked new on the inside! Great experiencing west coast in our 4wd and would 100% recommend you try Perth - Darwin!

I feel the need to reassure some people who might be in a similar situation to me. Apparently I had been living under a rock for the past few years because I booked with Wicked Campervans in Tasmania without knowing much about the company's history of vans with horrible misogynistic and homophobic slogans. Maybe I was just lucky but hired a 2person mini camper which turned to be a car! That was my fault so I can’t blame wicked for that. Very hard to sleep in, even for 1 person; so make sure you book the correct vehicle for your trip. Having said that, I did over 2 & half thou K’s in 10 days going up & down steep hills. Myself and boyfriend hired a camper for a long weekend. Wicked has a lot of bad press for their offensive slogans but they do offer a lot of vans that are plain. We got a 2 person plain van for a good price, customer service was good.

Very easy to create a booking, reasonable daily cost for 4x4 with roof tent, picked up and dropped off in Darwin. Good vehicle, delivered clean. Vehicle was a year or two old and the pick up and drop off were easy. Friendly, professional staff. So: why not 5 stars? After 20 business days still waiting for the large bond ($5k) to be refunded. This is TOTALLY unacceptable. We have contacted Wicked Campers and been told they will get right onto it. Still waiting.
