Over quoted - Wasted my time I requested a quote for a 4Bdrm house. Ready Movers quoted $11.6k for the move, after they verbally gave an estimate of approximately $3 to 4k on the phone. Subsequently went with another provider who quoted $3.6k for the same job. If Ready Movers did not want the job - they could have saved my time and said so upfront.
Delayed and missing item! One bedroom apartment moved from Brisbane to Melbourne. The delivery was late by 4 days, although we had specifically agreed on Monday 1/11 upon payment. I slept on the couch with nothing but minimal belongings from my suitcase. A box was missing from my delivery (Dell monitor in original box unopened) which the driver promised to check on and deliver the following day. Never happened. They started avoiding my calls. Serious concerns Cannot express my dissatisfaction more strongly. Would not recommend to anyone. Furniture damaged, not delivered on time - got a call on the day that it was supposed to arrive at 4pm to say that they couldn't do it that day, delivery too longer than expected (outside even their prescribed timelines) and had to pay for extra accommodation and buy a new washing machine because they damaged ours in transit. Can not trust Ready Movers Upon removing my belongings out of the property and into the truck there was damage to the paint on the wall caused by the removalists shifting a wardrobe. My items were late and when I did receive them there were a number of items that were damaged and one of my expensive items was missing. My wardrobe door which was originally locked was now unlocked and there was what appeared to be water damage to my wardrobe and damage to a designer dress. So much damage! We recently moved with Ready Movers and whilst trying to engage with them to fix all the damage, the phone and email has gone silent. Fridge scratched and dented, once, right in front of me. Boxes, expensive white sofa cushions stained and water damaged from container storage, so many broken glasses and crockery, never had any issues previously. Microwave dented, solid queen bedhead massive scratch. If only they would respond to my emails.
Most expensive and awful experience I was referred by a friend to this company I called up and made a booking everything was smooth the lady on the phone very professional, off course when she assured me I would be dealing with professionals I took their word. Two guys turn up to my place, one started complaining about how the task is. I was shocked because boxes were all packed (by a 38 week pregnant woman) and all they had to pack was sauce pans and spoons, plates, cups and glasses were all done prior to them arriving. Traumatising Experience Unfortunately I cannot give the glowing reviews that some have as a result of their experience with this company. I am moving under extremely stressful circumstances. Disappointing Service Ready Movers provided a service which was poorly coordinated and conducted in an unprofessional manner. The staff assigned to the job (one adult worker and a youth) arrived late, seemed unprepared, acted as if they had little prior experience and appeared to lack the required knowledge and skills to perform the work. Boxes supplied were previously used ones, some of which were subsequently damaged in transit. There was no labelling or adequate secure sealing of boxes. Disappointed I used this company about six months ago to put my stuff in storage. One guy was excellent and worked hard however the other guy was on his phone a lot and worked slowly. I then found a can of open energy drink in my storage shed which was left there by them with all my furniture. Very disrespectful. I used another company today to move my stuff out and they worked so much harder and faster. I would not recommend using this company after seeing the difference in what a good quality moving company can deliver.
