'No hidden fees' on their quote is a lie. Surcharge on completing their onboarding questionnaire is totally unavoidable but never mentioned in the quote. (which is not even legal according to ACCC) When I asked our conveyancer to provide an alternative payment method or I will go somewhere else I was told I would be charged $165 for 'work already done' - which was sending the onboarding email?! I engaged Ownit for a sale and a purchase. The conveyancer could not follow instructions, miscalculated important dates, has caused much stress for both engagements and her supervisor has also failed to show any professionalism and failed to respond to my concerns. I have asked for a refund so I can move both my transactions to another conveyancer.
