We’d love to say it took a series of high-level brainstorming sessions to come up with Australia’s most celebrated tour company, but the truth is it was all a whole lot simpler than that. Inspiration hit in the early 90s, when one canny Alice Springs local called Ken realised that travellers were flying into his hometown in droves, but didn’t have any real way of reaching Uluru (Ayers Rock) and beyond.

Myself and a friend did the Perth to Broome trip this week. The 10 day tour was amazing, with such a jam packed itinerary, we saw some of the best places that WA has to offer. But what made the trip that bit more special were our fantastic tour guides Tom and Lucy who we could not fault. Our tour guides, Tom and Lucy, were amazing-whilst being professional and knowledgeable they were kind, enthusiastic, patient, servant-hearted, relational and respectful. They provided much more than expected - fabulous places and delicious meals. This 71 yr old Aussie girl experienced for the first time sleeping in youth hostels and swags and thoroughly enjoying being with our fantastic group of younger people. Tom and Lucy set the tone for our happy group atmosphere. A fantabulous experience for me!
Incredible 10 day trip from Darwin to Broome with two fantastic tour guides, Adam and Rik.
Just finished the trip from Perth to Broome. I’ve taken these type of organised tours quite a few times before and have always enjoyed them so my expectations were fairly high. This trip definitely exceeded my expectations on every level. Besides of course seeing beautiful places, what I really appreciated and made the tour so great was the tour guides we had (Tom & Lucy). I’ve had an amazing trip from Perth to Broome. Lucy&Tom are the best guides I’ve ever seen. They’ve made this trip much better than what I expected. Lucy is such a good cook. Tom is an amazing driver. They are both so kind !!! Thanks a lot again for everything!!! A really incredible tour from Broome to Perth. Tom and Lucy were excellent guides, so knowledgeable about everywhere we visited, awesome meals each night and really went the extra mile to ensure our trip was as special as possible. Highly recommend this tour and company 👍
I had a awesome tour from Darwin to Broome! Rik was a great guide and taught me that anything can be eaten in a wrap 😄. I can only recommend ATA and am kind of sad that i will be making my own way from Broome to Perth , instead of doing their Guided Tour.
