Why do you need so much plastic on your fruit and vegetables ??. Your small shop has more stupid and unnecessary plastic than any other supermarket around. Use your melon for once.
It is absolutely ridiculous the amount of plastic pollution this store is producing!! The amount of styrofoam trays and cling wrapped used to package loose items of fruit and veg is out of control. I used to love shopping here because there was paper bags and crates and hardly anything was in plastic. Now I am horrified when I walk in to see mountains of plastic packaged food that will end up in our waterways or oceans. Our recycling system in Australia is poor so we must rely on small grocers like zone fresh to be conscious... read more
Guys $24/kg for a fancy salad (rocket, pear, bacon, blue cheese) might be okay if all the produce was spot on but today the pear was not ripe. Crunchy pear does not work in a salad. Ruined my picnic.
I have lived in Windsor for almost ten years and I’ve being a regular to Zonefresh. The service is always great and the staff are lovely. The quality of the fresh produce and butcher section is always first rate and I don’t mind paying extra for the quality. My issue is the mark up on day to day products like cereal, paper towels etc... but I was astounded yesterday when I purchased a bottle of ginger ale from the fridge to discover it was literally twice the price as opposed to buying one off the shelve as I had the day be... read more
I travel at least twice a week from Mcdowall to go to Zonefresh, and normally the service is great...today epic fail. Firstly the deli section, I ask for 2 xl containers of olives I get one and have to ask for the other, I ask for Mortadella 300g the guys serving comes back with 280 and says that do you....not a good business model. You market yourself as a gourmet market but you fail to be true to label. You do not stock most of the things items that I wish to buy and the variety of products and produce is standard. The deli is laughable, not to mention eye watering expensive and the cheese selection is also limited and boring. You are better off going to a decent Coles or Woolworths than this place.
Went on Saturday to get some fruit and vegetables normally get really great stuff but ended up chucking out a full punnet of strawberries as they went mouldy over night and the lady finger bananas had a hard black centre through them. I don't mind spending a bit extra for good produce but it's very disappointing went it's not!
