Customer service when booking was really helpful. We picked our van up from Exmouth, it wasn’t really clean, especially the outside. It also came with bedding left from the previous hirer. On return to Perth with minimal time before getting a taxi to catch our flight we were asked to thoroughly clean the car and dispose of the bedding. Both of which didn’t actually feel like our responsibility given we picked it up in the exact same conditions. Hired a van to go from Sydney to Tassie, good value, but the holding of the bond is borderline shady, in my opinion. The van and service are good, but the small surcharges and bond holding (they held mine for 3 weeks vs the 5-7 days it should take, which means they’re banking interest on my money) make them a bit challenging for me, ethically.

We're sorry your bond took longer than expected to be released; we do not do this on purpose, there are just many factors that can lead to delays. Please know the card surcharges go straight to the bank, and we do not benefit from that money at all.
From the moment we arrived at the Sydney depot to pick up the van everything was smooth sailing. The collection was amazing and so quick, we were then on our way travelling from Sydney to Perth, an experience of a lifetime that wouldn’t have been the same without our Nissan Elgrand from Wicked Campers. It had everything we needed and made our experience amazing. Would definitely recommend booking with Wicked Campers.

I was 18 at the time and Wicked Campers were the only brand to rent me a car, that’s a big plus for me. The tent was really nice and I went camping with it a few times. The price was a little high in my opinion, especially considering that the car was really old and struggled a lot. That’s why I can only give 3-4 stars. Also on the pick-up and drop-off there was no person attending and I had to do it via call. TLDR: Happy to recommend! We hired a two-roof-top-tent vehicle (Nissan Navarra 4x4 circa 2020) from Woolloongabba in Brisbane, driving to Darwin over 9 days. Wicked Campers were one of the few that offered a one-way rental. I loved my solo Wicked experience!! It was my first time but ill be back for more for sure!! Picked up Johnny FG from Cairns. Was a little intimidated by the rundown appearing office space, not gonna lie, but staff were super friendly and helpful! Took off directly to the local supermarket to stock up, filled the van and fridge and my Johnny wouldn't start (dead starter motor is my guess - just unlucky!) I was sitting on the couch one night and decided that’s it. I want to get in a van and go so I did. Kids were driving me crazy so if I went all the mums out there do it it was amazing. The staff did everything. Made it extremely easy to book pick up drop off. The van was extremely comfortable to sleep in and to drive met so many amazing people along the way this was soul lead journey.
