I was 18 at the time and Wicked Campers were the only brand to rent me a car, that’s a big plus for me. The tent was really nice and I went camping with it a few times. The price was a little high in my opinion, especially considering that the car was really old and struggled a lot. That’s why I can only give 3-4 stars. Also on the pick-up and drop-off there was no person attending and I had to do it via call. TLDR: Happy to recommend! We hired a two-roof-top-tent vehicle (Nissan Navarra 4x4 circa 2020) from Woolloongabba in Brisbane, driving to Darwin over 9 days. Wicked Campers were one of the few that offered a one-way rental. The team at Wicked were happy for us to view the vehicle a few weeks in advance, to allow us to plan for storage etc. On morning of pickup, instead of just leaving keys in the lockbox, one of the team ('Guy') kindly came in early to show us around the vehicle. I loved my solo Wicked experience!! It was my first time but ill be back for more for sure!! Picked up Johnny FG from Cairns. Was a little intimidated by the rundown appearing office space, not gonna lie, but staff were super friendly and helpful! Took off directly to the local supermarket to stock up, filled the van and fridge and my Johnny wouldn't start (dead starter motor is my guess - just unlucky!) I was sitting on the couch one night and decided that’s it. I want to get in a van and go so I did. Kids were driving me crazy so if I went all the mums out there do it it was amazing. The staff did everything. Made it extremely easy to book pick up drop off. The van was extremely comfortable to sleep in and to drive met so many amazing people along the way this was soul lead journey. Easy pick up in Broome, van was as expected, clean and well equipped for touring with a bed in the back, camping and cooking gear and a small icebox fridge. All that is needed for touring around.

The Desert Sands 4WD was the perfect way to experience Cape Range National Park Exmouth. Well stocked vehicle, and the company was easy to work with.

I hired the budget option camper for a week in Cairns, but was upgraded a step. The customer service is genuine, warm and friendly, which i appreciate, no airs or graces. In all honesty, the vehicle looked a little rough, but was tidy and did drive well. Mechanically sound, maybe not the most fuel efficient but still trusted the vehicle to get me where i wanted to be.
