RecommendedNo better way to chill on a wet Saturday avro - listening to some great jazz music and sitting in front of a real fire. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and luscious nosh.

Great iconic pub, significant history and the Bar Manager was an awesome fella full of knowledge (including the story about the ghost)… The bride and I carried on for a bit of a pub crawl (being tourists) but we both wished we had stayed as it was by far the best pub we visited that day.
Great place for a quick wine.

Fabulous old pub - loads of charm - really friendly staff - wine lovely & well priced - food 7/10 - was ok but a bit average - on the whole, great place to chill out.
A great historic pub that brings back many memories of my time as a sailor in the 70’s and 80’s.
