The Contract of Sale was subject to GST W/Holding obligations, but the election to apply the Margin Scheme was not included in the special conditions on Contract of Sale. This was not clarified by Megan Stone at the time of completing the contract when asked by the Real estate agent, an oversight by us all it seems. Megan confirmed she would give the buyer GST w/h Notice as part of the settlement process, which was not acted on at settlement. Thus no GST was withheld at settlement.
