As with every time I have visited MSK pain group the staff have been friendly, compassionate and caring. Going out of their way to help in anyway possible. Although I was in immense pain and perhaps a little incoherent at times I felt that Neels du Toit was genuinely concerned, he explained things to both my husband and I in layman’s terms , not leaving us confused about the procedure he will be doing. He has a kind and gentle manner of which I am very grateful Sincerely Robyn Hook
The pain settled over the next 3 weeks and at the moment I feel good I still sit down after I have been standing for some time Sometimes with a heat pac if needed This seems all I need to do and I don’t need any analgesics at the moment Lets hope it lasts!!

On seeing Dr N Du Toit I found him to be professional, concise and to the point . Sure of his assessment of the location of my pain, the facet joint. Clear on the option worth trialing . His expectation is that it should give me 12 to 18 months of a pain free timeframe. This he would only perform if the trial block was successful . He clearly explained that he was not cauterizing the nerve in question, but simply desensitizing it and that no permanent harm is being done to the nerve.
