We recently booked a 2 night stay online for one of the 2 bedroom Portofino apartments at Point Lookout. The price was discounted online however was still $509 for 2 nights for 2 adults and 1 child. Description said it was a newly renovated apartment in 2018 (so not too long ago). In reality the accommodation was a joke. Although in a central location (however no beach views but rather in a busy cafe run street) it was filthy and looked rundown, tiny and noisey. Dodgy! Worst customer service ever! My 30th is coming up, and my family and I had booked a beautiful house at Point Lookout that would be big enough for all of us to comfortably fit in, and we have all gotten days off to go! These agents are dodgy. I made a booking via airbnb 7 weeks ago which I received confirmation and a receipt and a contract for & 3 weeks later, Discover Stradbroke called me and told me they had stuffed up, and that my money didn't actually book anything and my money had just been sitting in their accoun... read more
