We had dinner at this lavish-looking restaurant last night. It was the 3 of us and we ordered Chicken Jujeh, Kobiedeh, and Kashkeh E Baden Jan. When the Kashkeh E Baden Jan arrived it smelled like poop, really terrible so bad that I had to put the plate at the very far side of the table. The bread that accompanied it also tasted old. When the other dishes arrived they looked and smelled way better. But as soon, as I had finished half of my plate out of instinct, had to run out of the restaurant to throw up in the bushes whic... read more

The most revolting meal I can ever remember paying for. I can’t remember the last time I left prawns on my plate, they tasted like they came out of a can. The lamb was tasteless and had no flavour. I hope I don’t get sick tonight.

Despite being a regular customer with Shiraz for 7 years, I was really disappointed with the quality of the food since they moved to the new restaurant. Although the price was the same, the food portions have decreased. The meat was raw and with no flavours, chewy and dry. Also the rice was raw. The plates did not come with salad as usual. Although I spent $130, I am really disappointed

Worst customer service experience ever. You will fill yourself a begger in front of few Arabian sheikhs when you get there. You will keep calling, screaming for service but no one will even look at you. And they don’t even realise it’s a terrible customer service. No one will ever say sorry to you or even admit it’s a mistake. Behaviour doesn’t come with oil from the field, it’s their ancestors. This place is an absolute crap even they have good food. Think 10 times before you get their.

It's rare that I have an experience this bad dining out on the Gold Coast. I can't remember the last time I had to ask that a plate be taken away because it tasted so awful - inedible - bitter and of iron - rancid - I am ashamed to have paid for it. We ordered slow-cooked dishes and I think this was our undoing. Perhaps Shiraz should cut the BS and remove the "slow cooked" section of their menu if they can't offer fresh food throughout the week. From my tasting, I imagine if their kitchen were "kitchen nightmares"d, ther... read more

Thé food was appalling. Our chicken was described as succulent and coming with a sauce: it was so dry and over cooked we couldn’t cut it, the sauce tasted like vinegar. The vegan halloumi dish was a tiny plate for $26, the vegan halloumi was cut into small pieces and (somewhere) mixed into a green slush. The extra $4 for the upgraded salad covers 4 olives and 4 squares of feta. Decor and staff were lovely, such a shame

They need to improve their on-call booking. I called for reservation on NYE, a lady picked up and said 'we are taking bookings'. Later the owner (Irfan) took the phone and said 'sorry not taking reservations as our experience with bookings is not good'. I mean what was that? Not going all the way to gold coast to wait in line for dining!
