Awful experience. You should explicitly advertise somewhere that you WILL NOT cut trans, non binary or AFAB people’s hair. What if someone who is not born a “man” wants an “man’s” haircut??? Unacceptable hair is hair. If the owner has views against people who don’t fit “her” norms she should pack up shop. The world is changing and she needs to get with the times. Making a person feel less than for asking for a hair cut that is typically cut by barbers and telling them to go to a hairdresser is unacceptable. Disgusting.
If you are of colour and have afro hair save your self the drama and look elsewhere as I had asked for a particular cut and also asked if they had cut my type of hair before. The lady responded Yes confidently, but as she picked up the clippers and comb I could tell that she had no clue, but gave her the benefit of the doubt.
