We had a really great experience. We drove a huge number of kilometers during our trip, and the van performed perfectly the entire time without any mechanical issues or problems. The only small downside was that the mattress wasn’t very comfortable, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the trip. Overall, the van was reliable, the experience was smooth, and we would definitely recommend Wicked Campers for anyone planning a road trip around Australia. Thanks for an amazing adventure!
Had a great time with the van we rented. All worked fine. Would have given 5 stars but the van could have been a bit cleaner i.e the fridge. And no kettle to make a cup of tea! A couple stainless steel pans would have been better than the very scratched ones that it came with. Other than that it was great and the staff were very helpful and kind.
Camper is amazing, we rented the high top mystery machine for 2 months. It provides almost everything we need. Tones of storage and room to move around. Road side assistance was great and always good communication, (just asking questions, no break downs so far) and happy to replace a rusty pan and a camp chair that was on the end of its life. Conditions of contract state they would return the bond within 7-30 days. Took raising a complaint with consumer affairs the encouragement to return after 31 days. Consumer Affairs also state vehicles are to be on a fit state. We started with one 4x4 van out of Darwin, briefing was rushed and we were missing utensils. 40 min into highway driving and the transmission overheated. The car itself and the staff at the location were great. However, the booking process and the “What is your budget?” feature were a joke, which is why I’m giving 3 out of 5 stars. It’s about the fifth time I’ve rented a Wicked Camper, but this time I had to book last minute, which is how I ended up in Ringwood. Since it was quite expensive, I tried using the “What is your budget?” option and waited two days without any response.
