Our experience with Wicked Campers in Hobart was highly unsatisfactory and resulted in significant disruption to our travel plans. We booked and paid in advance for a specific campervan. After booking, we were informed that the vehicle was not available and were reassigned to a “Mystery Machine,” which we reluctantly accepted because we had no alternative. Good experience! We travelled in a Wicked Camper from Hobart to the East coast. It had all the cooking utensils supplied but unfortunately no bed linen. I recommend stopping off at Kmart before your adventure. The Camper wasn’t luxurious and smelt of cigarettes. But it did the job for our trip!
Would recommend & do it all over again! Initially hired a smaller vehicle but we were surprised with the mystery machine. After hours collection was easy & the customer service was great. This beauty took us all around Tassie and became our cosy home for two weeks. Sleeps two people comfortably & held our two big suitcases. Can’t wait to do this trip again!
We hired a car from campervan village but the company on our rental car is this company idk if they’re the same company. The worst rental company ever. The car we rented was in bad condition there’re so many cosmetic damages on it, we texted them and wanted to swap one they only told me to send an email to the administration crew. They DID NOTHING. We got there before their trading hours so that we waited there for help, but after we waited for more than an hour NO ONE showed up even though it’s in trading hours!so we left w... read more
Hired a Johnny feelgood campervan through wicked online - easy to negotiate with and book. Was also able to change dates without issue Van itself was great - easy to drive, ran well, plenty of room for what we needed Only issues: The depot for pickup looks like a scrapyard - we thought we had arrived at the wrong place initially. Also needs a taxi ride from the airport to get there (too far to walk with suitcases). Loads of scrapped mystery machines and other vans throughout the lot.
