Excellent dining experience at the Wild Geese hotel. Contemporary Irish cuisine with delicious and flavourful dishes. A wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Couldn’t go past the Pig in Blankets and Steak Sandwich with a pint of Guinness. The ambience and atmosphere adds to the experience with the Celtic Club on the first floor level.
Lovely Irish Venue. Great atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful menu and delicious food. Had me at Black Pudding and Irish Stew! It was our 10 year Anniversary, and here is where we met all those years ago.
This is no doubt the best Irish pub in Melbourne, and probably all of Australia. Really Irish but totally contemporary. And the food in the Bistro is out of this world! Those "Pigs in Blankets" are a must-try!
Updated review: 05.03.2025. Thought we would give this place another try after an average lunch, previously. Came for dinner on a Wednesday night. Wednesday special sirloin steak and wine for $35. Which was actually really good. Cooked perfectly very tasty, with no fat. Also had the duck, which was fantastic. Both the desserts were also great. Beautiful place. I had the beetroot salad and a pot of house beer. Beer is lovely, crisp and mild flavour. Beetroot had a very mild taste which didn’t complement the salad, rocket was good. Wouldn’t order salad again, but beer was great
