Even though no baking is done onsite, all the food comes in fresh every day around 5.30am. Everything is made up ready to be toasted and the pies, etc, are heated and ready to be served. However, it is still possible to put in a special request, and if it's not too onorous, the staff will do their best to serve it. I requested a cheese and egg croissant, and though scrambled eggs would have been nice, the fried egg worked OK as well. The staff are friendly and if it's not busy they are happy to have a chat.

Attention to detail when we ordered, had HP sauce for my bacon sandwich. Regular everyday sized servings - not oversized or overpriced, no waste. Friendly and efficient.
The guys at Mitre10 at Strath recommend the ploughman's pasty, at the Strath Corner Bakery. They said "It looks like a Cornish pasty, but its bigger, meatier, and a bit peppery. A good feed". So we did, and it was exactly that. It was really good. We ate in. The service was really good.
Always know what you are going to get. Great country bakery products with quick service. Great place to stop and 'refuel'.
