The team at Shirudo self defence make the experience fun and engaging for the kids. Sensei Isaac has a great temperament for the kids with patience, tolerance and a passion to see them succeed. Shihan Paul is extremely welcoming and engages with anyone that walks in his door. This was a great choice for my kids to learn self defence for their personal safety, techniques on control and their overall confidence in this world.
It's my child's first time doing Martial Arts at age 6+. I love the way the trainers have organized the kids' class with lot of movement, fun exercises and the self-defence tactics step by step. They accommodate children of all kinds with their learning abilities and moods and teach the value of patience, respect and discipline. There is a lot of encouragement and appreciation for good work as well as firm rebuke for inappropriate behaviour. Overall, I believe the class I joined is very good for kids.
Amazing place to train at. Everyone is really friendly and the coaches and senseis are very skilled. It has been great learning from Shihan Paul and coach Liam. Mixing Shirudo and Muay thai is not only great for physical and mental health but also for learning some practical self defence techniques and getting a good workout in. Further, the gym is very accomodating for females and seeks to empower them! Overall, the vibes are great and would recommend 10/10
I recently joined SHIRUDO self defence in hope to learn new skills and improve self-development and is this place has helped me do just that. The coaches, teachers and owner Shihan Paul have together created an engaging high-energy positive atmosphere, making attendance to classes enjoyable and has helped me build confidence. The SHIRUDO team is so encouraging and motivating, I would recommend to anyone of any age and ability!
My daughter has been training at Shirudo for over a year and it has been a fantastic experience for us.The instructors are very kind,patient and highly skilled.One of the things I appreciate most is the emphasis on good discipline. My daughter has become more focused, respectful and confident since starting classes. The positive environment at Shirudo helps kids grow not just physically but also in character.
