We consulted with Jeremy and Thilan at Perpetual Guardian Trust, Remuera, about our wills last week. Our original wills had been with the NZ Guardian Trust and we were surprised and delighted that these documents were actually located in the vault of PerpetualGuardian. So now was the right time to renew them. My experience with Perpetual Guardian was deeply disappointing. Basic duties were repeatedly mishandled: no timely financial reports, no proper fee breakdowns, and vague “professional services” charges with no explanation. A car insurance policy was also left running for nearly three years after I clearly instructed it to be cancelled. No one noticed or corrected it. I would give rating of ZERO stars if possible. Communication got worse over time including change of staff handling the estate. We had to follow up multiple times what was happening. Vaishnu didn’t properly keep everyone updated and went on annual leave without giving a courtesy email to let us know when it was close to the estate date of settling the accounts. If there is negative mark, i will do that. The failure of internal communication in this company, no details for any of their charge, internal staff not stable, you will may receive their bills after two years
