I recently had a tetanus shot at Ginninderra Medical & Dental Centre Belconnen, and I want to give a huge thank you to Nurse Dom and Dr. Mark Slockee. I’ve had a horrible vasovagal reaction in the past at another clinic, so I was quite nervous this time. It happened again today but thankfully, Dom made the whole experience so much easier. I've had a good experience with Dr Mistry. He's knowledgeable and attentive. There was a doctor who I didn't have a good experience with but I won't mention. The clinic does have bulk billing available, not sure if it's only partly. There is usually a wait, I've been here on weekdays and I've waited 20-30min. I don't mind I just read or go on my phone. There is a pharmacy, pathology and radiology in the same building which is great.
My visit yesterday was not with my doctor, Dr Ali, so it felt different. I needed to be seen for temperature and itchy ears. While he was busy on the computer I asked the doctor to take my temperature and I asked for something for my itchy ears and I got a script. I asked for my blood pressure to be taken not the doctor. I think Dr Ali would have done those things as a matter of course. If I hadn't asked perhaps those checks would not have been done. I trust Dr Ali to take care of my health needs. The service I received from reception (Kim) today was absolutely outstanding, and I am so grateful for her help and the support from the management team. I was accommodated outside the usual policy due to the symptoms I was clearly displaying, and I truly appreciate the compassion and flexibility shown. I was seen by Dr Richard, and I will certainly be returning to him in the future. What a lovely practice Ginninderra is now from when I look back 3 or so years ago . The doctor my husband seen had a great bedside manner and the front staff ladies were welcoming at last even the caring male nurse made an impact I could not fault our visit . Thank you we will be returning in the future
