Being one of the families affected by the closure of the FORTY centres today, with exactly 1 month to find alternative places, I would love to address some of the areas in the press release from G8 today. I wish I could rate this company 0. Continued fee increases, continually reducing wage budgets and planning time for educators. How do you expect to offer quality educational programs with the bare minimum time for educators to plan? If you want to be a leader in the industry perhaps you should consider your business model. Appalling communication on behalf of the area manager for Brisbane. It has been 2 months and I am still waiting for an explanation for the inequitable discount applied to family fees during a period of centre renovations. The responses I *have* received completely ignore the issue, instead attempt to deflect my questions and consider them as 'feedback' in a poor attempt to placate me. G8 owes me $849 in overpaid fees as per account statement and centrelink has finalised the CCS in August but G8 has only agreed to refund $314 after endless correspondence. This is 8 months after leaving the centre that I have been waiting for my money back and I am left $500 short. The area manager Rhiannon was rude to me - G8 has $42 million in the bank but they won't return my $500. I am a low income single mum and my children are aboriginal. Yet again another rise in child care fees for the World of Learning's. Child care is seriously becoming out of reach for families and the CEO appears to be out of touch with families.
