We decided to get the course menu that included appetisers, a pizza (Margherita), sides and a pasta. the pizza dough was wood fired and crispy and chewy and ingredients were fresh! The pasta (ragu) was handmade and delicious as well. The appetisers (focaccia, burrata and a variety of meats) were very filling but did not leave as much of an impression as the mains did. We were very well fed and could not even finish the sides (salad and roasted potatoes). Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good pizza ... read more
A wonderful experience from start to finish! Super attentive (knowledgeable, personable and funny!) staff, delicious seasonal meals, wine tasting options and fabulous atmosphere. Truly a 'luxe' experience but great value meal options with us choosing the $70 'side, pizza, pasta and main' but next time probably the one without the main as we were very full but the end of the pasta - but sometimes as 'foodies' you just have to experience all the flavours and enjoy! Very average, unfortunately. Food is mass cooked for the set menu. Bland pasta and pizza was just fine. Very overpriced for what it is. 3 of us so $180 on food. some very basic starters, 3 small pizzas and x2 small pre selected pastas.. for $180!!? $10 each extra if we wanted dessert. Value for money and standard of food is very poor compared to the usual standard of set menu I'm used to.
We loved Frankie, the food was fresh, plentiful and delicious. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. We will definitely be back. The only thing we didn’t know is that it is outdoor and open to the air. It was very cold on the day we went and we didn’t have warm enough jackets. The staff were wonderful though and moved us to a warmer more sheltered table, which we were very thankful for. A fantastic place for drinks and lunch.
Beautiful scenic environment, great social atmosphere, plenty of delicious food, service was average to good - if I had to pick on something: took a little long for service and was not able to change anything on the menu, eg: kitchen were not able to add chilli flakes to the pizza, given chilli oil at tablet to add yourself. All in all I would definitely go back...
