The bowls are good but a bit blunt tasting! Would not recommend sitting down, incredibly loud room. We had it to go, would’ve enjoyed more flavour more protein and less rice for the price being.
The portion sizes are going down and the prices going up. $18 for a measley piece of precooked salmon, barely warmed through.. and to run out of glass noodles and napkins on a Saturday seems very avoidable. Staff were great though!!
The staff were friendly and the service quick for lunchtime, but the person who took my order was wearing gloves, touched the POS system etc while wearing gloves, then touched their face while wearing gloves etc etc and then didn’t appear to change those gloves before preparing the food. The kitchen prep area is in full view while you wait so I was able to observe. Made me a little uneasy to eat the food that was prepared for me.
I was excited to eat at Fishbowl after seeing other bowls being made. I ordered the large O.G. with salmon sashimi. While the bowl was certainly fresh, it was a disappointment. The kale was the only flavour apart from the seaweed salad that could be tasted. The salmon was cut quite small so you couldn’t taste it properly, and there was minimal sesame sauce mixed in so the overall flavour really was of the kale salad. Read reviews and spicy salmon seemed to be the popular choice. This was not what I expected. Salmon definitely tasted fresh. But I don’t why they had to lather on wasabi and pepper. It was really hard to eat because my nose and mouth was burning from all the spice. It was really hard to enjoy this salad, unfortunately
