Had takeaway from here soon after it first opened, and returned recently for a quick dine in meal. Got a chilli chicken on sushi rice for $13.90 (regular) and thought it was quite a decent feed. I don't know how Fishbowl make vegetables so tasty but I'm here for it!

The food is simple but good portion size and very tasty. I don’t think there’s much to say it’s a fast food place but definitely worth going if you want simple decent healthy food.

I ordered a spicy salmon meal and specifically requested no onion or shallots. However, when I got to the office and opened my meal, it was full of both onion and shallots. This was really disappointing, as I made the request to accommodate my preferences. Attention to detail in orders is important, and I hope this can be improved in the future.

After successfully taking our order and waiting for it to be ready we were called back up to the counter 5 minutes later by the two girls on shift to be advised they were out of rice and didn’t intend on cooking any more. Instead we were offered cabbage (who would want that?lol) as a base and some free avocado in the side. We ordered our dinner at 7:30pm and the store closes at 9:00pm…considering majority of the food includes rice we were pretty surprised they decided they didn’t want to cook anymore up. Tried out FishBowl today for the first time after seeing their chains pop up everywhere. I ordered the Tom Yum Chicken Box and wow, it was so good!!! Perfect portion size, nice texture, comes with salad, rice and protein. It was super flavourful and had a good balance of sweet, salty and umami flavours with a bit of spice. Good price too, only $11.90! I don’t think you can even get one burger for that price at Grill’d across the road. Would recommend and will be coming back!
