Their food tastes amazing and building your own bowl means you can eat a meal entirely to your taste, it’s great! However they did forget to put and sauce in my bowl and the salmon that I ordered, which was disappointing. It still tastes good but it could be better if they put everything I ordered in.
Not an issue with this store at all or the delivery which was perfect, but the fishbowl brand in general. I have a severe egg allergy and selected ‘egg allergy’ checkbox when ordering on DoorDash. I have received my food and assume since i selected egg allergy it will have no egg. However, when my tongue touched the sauce it was apparent there is egg in it. This is dangerous. I've been a regular customer here for a while. Almost everytime I come here I usually order the Tofu Boys (with some additional toppings including sweet potatoes, beets, avocado), including today. However, when I ate it today after I ordered, most (if not all) of the ingredients tasted like they were expired and also not fresh...the tofu was salty, the avocado had a very weird taste, everything else on my meal tasted like it was salty. Absolutely loving the fresh vibes at Fishbowl Hawthorn! The store's new but already delivering top-notch quality and flavour. Big shout-out to Seana—her service is exceptional! Friendly, efficient, and always makes you feel welcome. A great addition to the neighbourhood.
It saddens me to make a review so negative however this is the second time it’s happened to me now. I got fishbowl recently and that same night woke up early hours of the morning with sever food poising sickness including severe sweats, vomiting and chills. This has overall put a damper on my overall experience with this food chain as I genuinely like the food but can’t tolerate eating it again with the risk of experience the same food poising for the third time. Disappointing. :(
