Food itself is great! But this location tends to get way too busy on weekdays for lunch. We ordered ahead online, and still somehow had to wait 45mins after the expected pickup time, while being informed perhaps up to 4 times that an ingredient had run out, so we needed to swap…

Poke bowls don’t really work with the dried out burnt bits of rice scraped at the bottom. My entire poke bowl of sushi rice was hard and crunchy and clearly was the overcooked bits at the bottom. If you were running out of rice, I’d prefer to have gotten a different ingredient than burnt rice.

Great to see Sydney's best poké restaurant finally land in Melbourne. Expect great flavour and texture combinations alongside fresh fresh seafood! The founders were part of the serving crew today for launch, no other restaurant chain is so down to earth and authentic. If you've never tried Fishbowl, you're missing out big time!
