I visited on Saturday evening and there was about 8 staff working and I was the only customer. The chicken bowl was good, but I ordered with extra chicken and it didn’t seem like they added any extra. But it was still tasty and I liked it. I also asked if I could use the wifi and they said they didn’t have any even though I could clearly see the network available on my phone. Overall, I wouldn’t dine in here again. I think fishbowl is probably just a takeaway place. Probably wouldn’t pay for the extra chicken either.
Great location on the corner of Albany and Willoughby Roads in Crows Nest. You can people watch as you munch your way through one of their healthy OG bowls with salmon and brown rice or chicken miso bowls. Generous serving size and always freshly made - delicious.
Was exploring Crows Nest now the new metro station has opened and saw this place. When I got there I was the only one in the place but they had 6 staff behind the counter so they must do a lot delivery orders. I would normally order the OG but felt like something heartier so got the braised beef. Not bad. Was tasty enough but the beef was a touch on the dry side. The store also offers free bottomless sparkling and still water from a tap so that saves me buying a bottle.
Food was amazing however business does NOT take cash. This was not displayed anywhere prior to me ordering my meal. I don’t understand why a business in Australia does not accept Australian currency. My review would have been 5 stars if they accepted cash.
I have had a very busy day and thought I’d treat myself to a delicious Fishbowl between commitments. I ordered the OG with a brown rice & cabbage base. When I started eating I realised that it wasn’t brown rice it was white sushi rice. I asked the female server ( the only one there late Saturday afternoon before the dinner rush ) Is this brown rice ( knowing full well it wasn’t) and her response was “ no it’s sushi Rice ” do you want me to make it again?
