Poke-style bowl offering healthier options. Ordered the bento box, pulled beef and salmon. While it looked flavourful, surprisingly it was rather one dimensional and a bit dry. The proteins were flavourful but the slaw was alright. Would love a bit more sauce on the rice. Ingredients were fresh and service was quick which was good. You can also build your own bowl here.

I’m not sure how difficult it is to get an order correct, but if there’s an award for the most incorrect orders.. Fishbowl at Bondi Beach takes first place! Either the staff need re-training (or educating to read) or the management need to print them receipt dockets that say add ons in bold writing. Because the amount of times I place an order, don’t receive what I pay for is a joke. So much so it’s like a gamble if you get what you order, that’s how bad it’s become. I ordered two bowls one with extra chicken. The brown guy who was at serving was very rude, when picking up my order there was no labels that mentioned which one was with extra protein. When I went to ask he goes “you can always just check”. Apparently you should just know what bowl has been modified. Honestly I don’t think he should be in a customer service role. The food was good though.

Very disappointing experience at Fishbowl Bondi. I arrived around 8pm and they had run out of rice, which is the base of a bowl. I still ordered, but the mayo wasabi dressing was extremely strong and completely overpowered all the ingredients. For the first time, I couldn’t finish my meal and had to leave it. I gave feedback to the staff, mentioning both the lack of rice and the dressing being unusually strong. At some day this spring I was craving something healthy that still tasted good. So I was genuinely surprised when I visited fishbowl and had one of the best bowls of my life. I had the spicy salmon bowl wich had the perfect level of tanginess and spicyness. My best friend came with me there too. He recently broke up with his girlfriend and felt pretty down but this bowl that he got made his day and really surprised him.
