Overall experience was average. 1. We booked 2 hours online, the lady at reception advised that we only got 1.5 hours. Only when we told that our booking is 2 hours she rectified it. 2. They were not flexible with seating eventhough most tables were empty. 3. Service was good and staff were really friendly. 4. Personally, food was not the best. We take our Secret Food Tours to Fable and they rave about how beautiful the venue is, and how delicious the food is. These guests come from all around the world, and they will be spreading the love far and wide! We personally come to enjoy the amazing bottomless brunch with small batch gins. Frank, Josh, Christos & the team are fabulous!
Fable has great views of Melbourne so great on a nice summer day. The $65 bottomless brunch comprises of various cocktails (unlimited for 2 hours) and a set menu of nibbles. Both drinks and food had a few hits and a few misses. Hits = Chicken lollipops & fried calamari 🤤 wished I could have more of the chicken. Miss = mushroom toast. It had more of a cake like texture where I expected it to be more crispy The service was quick and friendly. They were not slow to bring out the drinks like many other bottomless places.
I would give the overall experience 3.5/5. I can appreciate what Fable is trying to achieve, but it’s just not hitting the mark. The entire menu is gluten free which is great! My friends and I tried a number of cocktails from the menu. Out of the 6 we ordered, we only liked one of them. Beautiful atmosphere with a city skyline view that's gorgeous if you're there at sunset. Food is presented lovely, and with delicate care and drinks are beyond beautifully crafted. Last time we came we had a few issues with bottle service/drink ordering. I will say on our last visit it had really been improved.
