This place has potential to be a great place however my recent Bottomless Brunch experience was disappointing. We were advised the food menu was updated last minute, leaving out a lot of appetising meatier options and truffle fries; then replacing it with tuna and pumpkin compared to the initial menu online. Came here on a rainy afternoon. It made the ambience actually quite moody and cosy. I just had a snack, bread with hummus. It was good but nothing exciting. We had golden hour drinks and that was nice. Just quite expensive for the food options here. Service was good. Staff kept checking on us. May come back again just not on a public holiday as we got 20% surcharged.
The set menu at Fable is highly recommended. The servings are very generous, from Starter to Dessert—by the time we finished our entree, we were almost full! I loved the goat’s cheese from the Starter menu; I could finish it on my own—I’m such a cheese addict! The cured Kingfish had the perfect balance of flavors—I love fish in general! Phenomenal cocktails with a view! Can’t really ask for more. One of the best bars Melbourne has to offer. Super impressed with the team’s attentiveness and attention to detail despite the bar being busy. Big shoutout to the manager, Frankie and bartenders, Callum and Kirby who surprised us with complimentary cocktails after I told them it was my partner’s birthday. Some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in the last few years. You’ve definitely got yourself some return customers! Thanks Frankie and the team!
