There was no one at reception to open door to let us out We rang bell, took a staff member 5 mins to appear. They didn’t know the code and had to go find a key?? I’ve worked in aged care for 25 years and never had this happen. Other facilities either have the code written on sign in, sheets, name tags or written down somewhere unobtrusive nearby. Maybe management could look into this?
As the physiotherapist onsite I have found the care staff extremely helpful when I require assistance. Additionally the clinical team is highly knowledgeable and assistive when making decisions regarding the residents care. Best of all the maintenance team is always on the ball especially when it comes to supplying the residents with the required equipment. I would Highly recommend this facility.
Such an awful facility! My grandfather had a heart huge attack there and instead of calling an ambulance, they waited until morning for the doctor to review him and draw blood. Hardly any staff for their resident ratio. Serious attitude from their managing staff, although some of the nurses have been absolutely lovely. For these reasons, amongst so many others, I would not recommend this place for my dog!
Really happy with our family’s decision to have our grandfather move into Estia. They’ve got a specialised memory support unit, lovely gardens, daily activities and even a couple of resident chickens who visit for cuddles. We’re very grateful for the care the staff show my grandfather and also my grandmother when she visits him. Thanks so much.
