I felt it was important to share my experience to help others. I do want to acknowledge that after I provided feedback to upper management in Estia Head Office, positive changes were made, which is why a second star was added. My family has had relatives at Estia Daw Park for the past nine years. Overall, the care staff on the floor were great, however the facility seemed better run under previous management. The carers and staff working the floor area for the most part are lovely. The management horrendous! My Nanna moved in here a couple of years prior to Covid, all staff were friendly, helpful, inclusive, the Lifestyle program wonderful. My Dad moved in just before Christmas 2023 with Dementia, he was scared, no-one bothered with him, didn't show him around, didn't come in and make him feel welcome like they did with my Nanna, care factor not there. Before my dad passed I may have rated them higher. The staff are for the most part good. Management is horrid. They show all the care and respect up front but beware at the other end. When a loved one passes, within a matter of hours they box and bag belongings, put them into storage - without communicating with family and move someone else into their room. There is no dignity, no time for closure - not even a day or two. This is even though you pay for that room a month in advance! They are heartless and cruel when you ... read more
I had such a lovely experience at Daw Park. Foram and Sonia were incredibly supportive and helpful in making the environment welcoming and comfortable for my grandma. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a supportive and caring environment for their loved ones
My mother has been in Estia daw park for almost 5 years during this time I have met some really lovely people and shared many experiences During this time I have found the staff to be very compassionate and helpful and would recommend this facility for your family member.
