Our father Peter Hornby spent 3 weeks in respite care at Estia Aldgate. Dad was welcomed on arrival by the activities coordinator and staff. Dad spent his 89th birthday 🎂 with the team and the cook baked a brilliant cake (minus cream, as Dad hates cream). Wonderful stay, assisting Dad to maintain his independence. Dad became the afternoon movie coordinator playing his collection of Andre Rieu. 🎶🎵🎼 🎻
My mother has recently needed to be looked after, and she is an avid gardener. This facility is small (30 rooms), and nestles in quite lovely gardens. The room opens directly to a small garden, so my mother can sit in the warm room and watch the birds etc. Can't fault the care etc. The facility is kind of 60's 70's in architecture, so the place is mildly less bright and airy compared to a more recently built facility. This is not a problem, it is just more home- like. Suits my mother perfectly!
Friendly staff. Beautiful location set in Aldgate Hills.
