After moving into Estia Health Albury at age 99, and with very little eyesight, Mum was made feel very welcome and at home in her new situation. From the beginning, we were very appreciative of the kindness and caring attitude of the staff. Mum enjoyed the happy, friendly rapport and was always made feel comfortable and at ease. We greatly appreciate the care and compassion shown towards our family, enabling us to stay with Mum in a comforting environment in her final days.
I have been overwhelmed by the kindness, professionalism and integrity of the staff at Estia Thurgoona From the very first contact with Emma-Kate in reception through to all of the admin, medical, kitchen, and general staff. Aged care is a bit of a minefield of paperwork and challenging decisions. It's emmotional and confronting for older people and their families, yet the staff at Estia go over and above to make this experience as comfortable and welcoming as possible. Thank you to all at Estia.
Our Mum has transitioned into a nursing home with much hesitation at first BUT the staff at Estia Thurgoona have been the most supportive, kind and friendly staff. We are greatly appreciative for all you have done to make mum's transition smooth. Sally Hart
My mother has been a resident of Estia Albury for just over two years and in that time she has celebrated her 100th birthday. Everyone made a effort to make her day extra special, the chef went out of her way to make a beautiful carrot cake, Mum’s favourite and as always Tammy and her team were fantastic Tracey’s arrival at the end of last year has in my opinion, made a huge difference, she is a massive asset, she is willing to listen and act quickly.
I placed my father into respite care at this facility and unfortunately my experience raised serious concerns around basic care, hygiene, safety, and accountability. During his stay, my father was not showered or assisted with personal hygiene and slept in the same clothes for two nights. When I raised this directly with management, they did not deny that his hygiene had not been attended to, and I was unable to be shown a hygiene record when requested.
