I’ve been increasingly disappointed with the level of care at Chatswood Medical & Dental Centre. The doctors at this practice barely seem to take the time to understand the patient’s reason for visiting. When a specialist sends results or follow-up letters back to the referring GP, these outcomes are rarely discussed with the patient. I’ve had to repeatedly ask my GP what the specialist said and request copies of the letters, which I’ve been refused. Good service when you can get it. I’ve waited upwards of 45+ minutes for each GP consult during peak times, having to leave before seeing the doctor on my latest visit due to a 60+ minute wait. I don’t believe I’m the only one encountering frequent delays— I wonder why they don’t increase consultation times during peak to mitigate?

I would like to sincerely thank all the staff who helped me today at Chatswood Medical & Dental Centre. I had an urgent situation in the morning and was extremely anxious. Unfortunately, the doctor I had originally booked was on sick leave and unable to see me. Maggie at reception was incredibly responsible and proactive — she helped contact a GP and rearrange my appointment promptly, which made me feel reassured and well looked after. No point making an appointment I booked an appointment via HotDoc to see a Doctor in this practice and both times I had to wait a significant count of time. Not sure what the point is of making an appointment if you have to wait 50 minutes to be seen. The doc I met with was consultative in her approach and seemed to genuinely want to help without blindly prescribing medications. The clinic is clean and conveniently located. However, despite having the first appointment of the day and arriving early, another patient was seen at my appointment time and I had to wait for nearly 20 minutes. My consult itself was very quick. A bit more transparency around scheduling would have been appreciated.
