This is the worst medical center I have ever visited. I took my 90 year old mother there with a chest infection. There were no GP appointments available but I was told that they have a walk in service starting at 2.30pm. We arrived at 2.15pm and were second in line to see the receptionist. However I then had to complete an online form with all her information and by the time that was completed everyone else had been registered so we effectively went to the end of the line. Firstly, The doctors at this centre are good, but the administration is very poor. The receptionists never answer the phone when you call them. A lot of times you are waiting for a doctor and patients arriving after you are taken in without any explanation. And if you ask a question, the answer is "sorry its upto the doctor". But one time when I got taken in before another patient with an appointment, the receptionist did not hesitate and called the doctor in his room quite angry asking why I was taken in first. The doctor I see is very good. I can make an appointment and see her without having to wait an hour. However if I am running late and try to call the centre, I am on hold for a good twenty minutes...and in the end I can't even get through to centre to advise. Very frustrating.
My rating is towards my doctor that I have been seeing for over 10yrs. Only always see the same doctor everytime I need to have a consultation. Consistency is always a plus for me and the relationship between doctor and patients. Centre is always nice and neat. Just ashamed that it is not bulk billed anymore as sometimes I have make sure I have or will have enough to pay for my visit and it's hard and not always easy.
I made an appointment online at Caringbah Medical Centre. Super efficient experience. Starting with great customer service from Narelle at the front desk. Always engaging and honest. Waited no more than 5 minutes where Dr Quader greets you with his warm smile. Has a real sense of duty of care. Highly recommended.
