We had a really poor experience with Dr Afolabi Olaleye at Browns Plains Medical and Dental Centre. Our 8:40am appointment for our 2.5-year-old started nearly an hour late. There was no mention at check-in that the doctor was running behind, and we only found out after asking at 9:10am. Reception advised that we were ‘next to be called in’, but more time passed, and several patients who arrived much later than us were called in before us. I booked an appointment for 10:10am specifically so my toddler wouldn’t miss her midday nap and we weren’t seen until 11:20am. The reception staff didn’t mention that the doctor was running late until I questioned how much longer it would take at 10:45am. What is the point of booking an appointment if they are running more than an hour behind? Doctors at this place are always “running behind schedule” no idea why we even make appointments when they can’t bother sticking to their timeframes. Waiting for an hour now and told there’s still another person in front. I watched the previous patient for my doctor leave 30 minutes ago and he’s yet to call in another, he had no problems making it to the coffee machine though. Appointment at 9:45, confirmed arrival at 9:37. At time of posting this review it is now 10:30. If this was the first time then would not be reviewing. Hell, I wouldn't review after 2 late appointments. As this is now the 4th appointment and are waiting again for almost an hour I figured it would be time to review. There is no communication from the staff to let you know that the doctors are running late. There are 2-3 receptionists which appear to have enough time to make a phone call/text that the doctors are running late... read more
Highly recommend Dr. Omatade. Such a wonderful doctor who is really professional, receptive, approachable and empathetic. Being new to the country, I am so pleased to find a GP like him who has been a pillar of support in the diagnosis and treatment of my chronic condition.
