A group of us had organised a birthday lunch at Boutique. Unfortunately we all left disappointed at the quality of food and the poor service. We took the lunch special which was supposed to come with a glass of wine out of 7 meals we got 4 glasses. When they brought the birthday cake out they gave us no plates or cutlery and we had to remind them to take our coffee orders. Sad as it is in a lovely location.
We came here for $20 midweek breakfast special. It includes a choice of one of their 5 most popular breakfast dishes and a regular coffee. Both the food and coffee were good but the portions are small. We asked to upgrade to large coffees, no problem. They came out in small glasses and we were told they are the large size. After 6 weeks of weekly visits to eat the same "special".. I suffered from my mistake of "assuming" the special would be the same price as it had been for 6 weeks... But the black board "special" price was removed a week ago. To have the "special" loaded at payment time put a bad taste in my mouth. My mistake I guess.. assuming is always a disaster. The staff here are lovely and accomodating. The coffee was a little weak for me but well presented. My poached eggs were cooked well however the white toast was stale and hard as a rock, almost inedible. The béarnaise sauce unfortunately wasn’t very nice either. The waffle was good though, just needed a little more sauce. Overall I found this new cafe to be ‘okay.’ I’d like to visit again and give it another go because I was rather underwhelmed today and had been looking forward to trying this place for a couple of weeks.
Nice new boutique restaurant with an awesome view of the harbour at Salacia Waters. Fine dining we had 2 starters for a quick lunch both were excellent and beautifully presented.The Wonton Wrapped prawn was crispy and flavourful. The waiter was knowledgeable especially about the Peruvian dishes.All in all a great afternoon lunch well worth a try. Anthony
